Mojari making !


The Art form carried on to lay forward the traditional family business utilizing the unique art skill and earning a life ! The varieties are made by combined efforts and working skills of a family all-to-gather.! The Father , The Mother , & The Son too !!

Step 1


Already made/drawn samples are checked out from the book.!

:Sole already cut in bundles are matched up with the drawn design.

:Leather which these local workers get from ‘Ghee kaanta’ , A’bad is taken…Using scissors and ‘khurpaa’ and by using the sample sole, trimming the leather sheet bought, is carried.

Step 4




: Use of measure tape is made now to decide the size.Then , it is smoothened and trimmed by scratching the metal instrument.(i.e. chisel) Also , a small hammer kind metal is used for later adjustments.Use of thin metal wires is made to shape up the mojari.

Step 5

Leather in sticked to the sole trimmed before, using the glue.

Step 6





: Now the toe , the ankle style are put into shape , as per desired design.Comparing with the foot style , pre-made by wood , styling n shaping is done here .Sticking the wooden made heels and specially styled toe-style are stuck too.
